Many of time I had to cross this question being in bandra you never went to reclamation? I used to tell them I was in JC back then I used to not explore much. But when I entered my Degree I came across this question again. I was wondering what is so great about reclamation that everyone ends up asking me have you been there and I was tired saying NO. Then I called up my friend and told her if she has any idea about this place she said "no". I was happy I have a company and we decided to go there. To known souls to an unknown place. The moment we reached there we were busy clicking pictures and were enjoying within ourselves. That place was so happening with the worli sea link view. The place was so clean that at a point i thought I was somewhere else . Well maintained and clean. I was impressed. And then I realized why people kept asking me about that place. If you live in Mumbai you should visit that place atleast once in your lifetime. It gives you positive vibes and good energy.

Uncensored Mumbai- Chenna Creek

It was my friends birthday and we had to give him a suprise my friends asked me if you have any place in your mind? Which was nearby and a nature related place the first name that came was chenna Creek. Hardly people come there as  that place is not much known to anyone; people who travel by bus to thane  must have seen that place because that's a bus stop and as you go down you will find a beautiful view. Though it's a creek the place is beautiful and pleasant. We all had a great time there. It was a memorable day!

I was bored sitting at home and I wanted to go somewhere and spend some alone time with myself. I was googling places but couldn't find one. But then later I realized what am I doing? There is alredy one place where you can go whenever you want to and just sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of Mumbai . Even if you go in the night you will be safe and also in day time. You will find a place for yourself there at marines where you can just sit and feel the breeze passing through you hair and the water touching your skin gently and salt sticking to your face.

Uncensored Mumbai- Aarey Colony, Goregaon

Place- Arey Colony, Goregaon.

Reach- Auto-rickshaw

I finally decided to meet my friend at goregaon I got down at goregaon station things changed there it's one of the most developing place in mumbai now..

We met and he said let's go to aarey.

I was wondering what's so special about aarey... 

It's just a milk colony in my knowledge

And a bit scary too as I've read about lepord attacks...

So why aarey?

As we were traveling and crossed western express highway bunch of trees appeared they densed their presence as we moved...

I remember my visit to film city and somebody said it's part of national park and then I went to national park someone then said it's extended till byculla. Basically I was confused! And then I googled what is the fact. Did any know? That SGNP is divided into three portion one is SNGP the other is Arey Colony and then the last one is Film City. 

Arey Colony a beautiful place with a beautiful view. It has his own milk production. And also you will find different types of birds. It's foggy in the morning and its complete dark in the night.

Aarey is a perfect blend of nature and concrete development.

Long roads on which shadows of trees fall...Aarey is cold all the time trees never let the sun touch you...

One will get lost into the dense forest.

Aarey

I walked across an empty land

I knew the pathway like the back of my hand

I felt the earth beneath my feet

Sat by the waters, and it made me complete

I came across a fallen tree

I felt the branches of it looking at me

Is this the place we used to love?

Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?

Somewhere Only We Know

I was at a place where there was pines everywhere lost in between them I was wandering and I couldnt find my way out then I saw sun rays I kept following it till  yeah when I was out I found a lost beach which was so beautiful that I forgot all my tiredness and was happy that I was lost between those woods if I wouldn't be lost I could never find this place and I went near the waters and splashed it to my face as opened my eyes and I realized that it was my mom trying to wake me up... 

As I was wondering about my dream I remembered a similar place and decided next place to explore should be Bhuigaon Beach . It's a bit far from the city. But it was worth going to that place.

Uncensored Mumbai- Dadar Parsi Colony

But it is the Journey that matters in the end.

Place- Dadar Parsi Colony.

Reach- Taxi, Cab.

During summer, In Mumbai I could find a place for myself  in open air where there was no one to kill my skin. And that place was so huge that I got tired walking and every time you go there you will find something new. Dadar Parsi Colony ,a place to visit.    Chilled out place in Dadar and nobody will judge you even if you walk weirdly, talk nonsense or whatever. Mumbai meri hi Jaan Nahi Baki Sab ki shaan bhi hai!

Uncensored Mumbai- Vasai Fort

Wander without purpose or reason.

Place- Vasai Fort

Reach- Bus 

In the midst of winter and summer ,when I was finding a shady place she called me up saying let's go somewhere, I asked her " where? she in a sir voice sang hymn of the weekend ". The moment we hung up the next thing I remember is I am in vasai fort. We were so into  exploring that time passed so fast we never know.

 The place itself was giving us such positive vibes that we kept our foot strong and we kept walking. As the moon took over the place we left and we came back.

Extraordinary things are always hiding in places people never look think to look.

Place- Chapel Road, Bandra

Reach- Auto-rickshaw, Walkable distance.

When I was leaving my house I was alien to where am I gonna go she had told me it's a suprise. 

Anxiety was killing me from inside and she asked me to get down at bandra; Bandra? My reaction was like I have been to all the places in bandra. Somewhere deep  I hoped that place should be new to me. 2year of my Junior college I had no clue about this place. Anxiety level had increased she didn't reach yet and I couldnt stop myself from wondering what is this gonna be where will it be and all . 

A place which blew away my mind with its graffiti's . Each walls said something through its art. 

Each wall had something to reflect and I was flabbergasted.

She asked did you like it? My reaction was like, are you kidding. I love it. 

One of the best suprise I could ever get.

A Reality Like Dream 

Wandering is a part of our age,

We explore for a place were we feel like a dream, and mumbai always been a land of Dreamers from it's shore of traffic during the day to the silence of its light at night.

One of my friend recently was successful in finding a dreamy place, a place to dream and asked me to join...

On the way I learned from him that the place is called Airport road

Reaching there, it's beauty was soulful for my sense .

The fresh breeze and my hair dancing to its rhythm.

Learning about the place from him I forgot to track time...

I feel this place is very close by when you have company and if you travel alone you may find this place far.

All I remember is he had come to pick me up

Uncensored Mumbai- Fulpada

Place- Usgaon Dam, Fulpada,Virar

          Reach- Auto-rickshaw

When boredom strikes you; you tend to think alot probably out of the box. And at that point i was sitting on the couch and wondering what am I doing with my life ? And simultaneously scrolling Instagram happened to see this place at that very moment I called up my friend and asked him where Is this place as it was his post that I saw he told me it's in virar I asked him wether he can join me as soon I hung up on him I called up rest of my gang and they said they were in for it. We met at Bhayandar station and then we caught a train for virar we got down at virar; we took food along with us because you won't get anything to eat there except for balaji we continued and took a rickshaw we reached Fulpada. My first reaction was WOW!!! Because it's damn beautiful.  Such a beautiful place far from the city,away from the crowd and pollution. And there it was a beautiful dam named USGAON. It reminded me of Kerala at once. I could see greenery everywhere.

We sat there for a while we had our snacks that we brought and enjoyed there. After that break we started walking . It seemed to be a small trek for us. At the same time we were clicking pictures too

There was a place to sit where one team was already there as soon as we reached they left and we got to sit there we could see sunset . And later we left from there for virar station and then we reached back home. The next day I woke up I was in hangover of Fulpada, nature hangover. 

Truly a beautiful place. If you are a nature lover and you like exploring see to it that you read previous and latest blogs.

Uncensored Mumbai- Shivaji Park

Place- Shivaji Park, Dadar

Did you know that, we Mumbaikar's also have a maidan like azad maidan! Yes it's a park now. Shivaji Park in Dadar. It's the largest park in the island city. And it has also witnessed both pre and post independence. 

My friend told me about this place and then we planned to meet up at dadar station and she knew the way we took a taxi from dadar station to reach this place and as soon as we reached this place we found amazing hangings and motivational quotes. We started walking towards the park and the park is so huge and so big and there are many place to sit, enjoy and relax. As we walked we saw a huge ground which often witness great matches. And towards the end of the park we happened to see this

It's neither bandra nor marine lines (as some may get confused by seeing the stones) it's Dadar and yes dadar has such amazing places

It was worth the visit! We then came back to the place where we started our walk and we were relaxing and enjoying. We clicked many pictures and then we returned back to our place.

Uncensored Mumbai- Kotachiwadi

In the heart of South Mumbai lies Kotachiwadi which is a heritage village in Girgaon. Houses generally conform to the Old Portuguese style. Founded in the late 18th century.

Houses are made of wood, with a large open front verandh , a back courtyard and an external staircase

Kotachiwadi is 175 year old right now and is in Mumbai. Who knew Mumbai had such hidden amazing beauty also
